Directions
Keswick is located only 16 miles from the M6 motorway. At junction 40 (Penrith) head towards Keswick and Cockermouth. Main Route: Enter Keswick at the first turning. At the T-junction turn right and follow the road (Penrith Road) until you go past Fitz Park (on the right) and go up a slight incline. At the top is a left turn opposite the war memorial and then an immediate second left beside Cumbrian Properties. Follow Southey Street to the end of the road and Acorn House is infront of you. Alternative Route: Following the first turning to the town head left at the T-junction. After approx. 1/2 mile turn right (to the town centre and Castlerigg Manor). Go down the steep hill and this road turns into Ambleside Road. Acorn House is situated on your right before you reach the church.. From the South Lakes directions are even easier! When coming into Keswick, turn left (to the town centre and Castlerigg Manor). Go down the steep hill and this road turns into Ambleside Road.
