The family-run Ferndene Guest House offers high-quality bed and breakfast accommodation in Keswick, 10 minutes' walk from the Theatre by the Lake and Derwent Water.
The building has mountain views, and Ferndene provides free parking and Wi-Fi and an extensive breakfast menu. Rooms include a flat-screen TV, radio alarm clock and tea and coffee facilities. Each has an en suite shower room with hairdryer and complimentary toiletries. A cooked Cumbrian breakfast features local produce, accompanied by tea or freshly ground coffee and toast. There is a buffet selection of cereals, fruit, yoghurts and fruit juice, all served in the dining room. Vegetarian breakfasts are also available, and Ferndene can cater for special dietary requirements if advised in advance. This guest house is around 10 minutes' walk from the Keswick Museum and Art Gallery and the Pencil Museum. Lake Windermere and the town of Ambleside are around 30 minutes' drive away.

Approaching Keswick from the south along the A591 turn left as the outskirts of town are reached onto Manor Brow (signposted Castlerigg Manor). Proceed straight ahead down the steep bank of Manor Brow into Ambleside Road until Ferndene Guest House appears on your right opposite St John's Church to your left.
